       &lt;div style="margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px; font-weight: bold;" class="txt"&gt;Lord         Buddha has stated in Mahaparinibbana Sutta, delivered by him in         Kushinagar that&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;        (1). The place where he was born i.e. Lumbini&lt;br /&gt;        (2). The place where he attained the enlightenment i.e. Buddhagaya&lt;br /&gt;        (3). The place where he delivered the first sermon i.e. Sarnath and&lt;br /&gt;        (4). The place where he entered into Mahaparinirvana i.e. Kushinagar.&lt;br /&gt;        are places which can bring about feelings of religious awe &amp;amp; reverence &amp;amp; are therefore worthy places of pilgrimage for those who believe in Him&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"These, Ananda, are the four places that a pious person should visit and look upon with feelings of reverence. And truly there will come to these places, Ananda, pious bhikkhus and bhikkhunis, laymen and laywomen, reflecting: 'Here the Tathagata was born! Here the Tathagata became fully enlightened in unsurpassed, supreme Enlightenment! Here the Tathagata set rolling the unexcelled Wheel of the Dhamma!
